Anyone ever found One Of These

A Geocache logbook I found today by chance, it was hidden in a wall of an old bridge, it contained the log, and small trinkets, I signed the log and left an entry ticket for Bijilo National Park Gambia, (thats all I had that was different) in the container, and then re-hid it in the same place in the wall, replaced the rocks, Go to Geocaching website since checking it out theres loads around my way he he gonna try find some more, Ive joined the free service, not ha a proper look round yet

Now it all makes sense !!!

I found a little blue plastic watertight container in a small dam as I was looking for newts.

A few little trinkets, a stubby pencil, and a bit of paper inside.

Had no idea what it was either but put it back as it appeared to be hidden for some reason.

Had a look at the site you mentioned and theres lots in this area too.

Going back to the site for a nosey :)

Just joined the site Dave,

There are loads around here in the forest to the North of me.

I see you can download the GPS positions too.

I've a handheld gps system it looks like I'm going to have to try this out.

I never thought to take a photo, but I'll nip up next week and post here when I get it

Never even heard of them before now - but sounds interesting! there seem to be a fair few around here - mainly done by the army guys as far as I can see. They even have them in Canada!

Do this sport quite regular and mixes well with photography and caravanning. (Takes you to interesting places) My score of finds at the moment is about 150 found. :)

Yup - done it a lot, then gave it up for a couple of years as we'd done most of our local ones.

It's good fun as usually they are placed in interesting places.

Oh awesome. Thanks for this, there's one in about a mile from me where I go for walks.

:woot::woot: found 2 more, There was nothing in them just the logs, I signed them, left a Stub from a Thai Airlines Ticket, inside for someone else to find, great fun found them easy without a GPS. using maps and clues
