Will be pulling an 84hr week from christmas day to new years day:'(:nono:

Quite possibley new year

I work in a team of folk who support the billing systems for a large energy supplier. Normally we don't do any changes to the systems at all over the xmas / new year perios but some scroat decided that 6am on the 1st Jan was when we have to change VAT rate.

Hopefully all will be well and I'll be able to post from home.

I'm pretty sure I won't need to be in then - the scroat I was referring to is the chancellor. I mean, why the 1st of jan? surely leaving it a few days when all business were back after the seasonal break would not have hurt?!

Got to go to Morecambe on Boxing day to shoot football.. and yes it is work so no choice..

Not Christmas as such, but I'm at work until 4:30 on Christmas Eve, then back in on 27th and 28th, then back to work as normal from 2nd.

i am working christmas eve and boxing day and then new years eve and new years day..

I wish i was working!
Used to like working major holidays, usually nice and quite and excellent rates of pay.

Working till the 24th, back in for th 29th, 30th and 31st. Then back properly on the 4th. Mrs Wisemen working Christmas day and New years day.

Working 4 x 12 hour shifts in an HM Coastguard Operations Room commencing 0800 on christmas day. Just the way the mop flops.

we pretty much work 365, have to when you're looking after other peoples' animals :)

Yep, I'm on call 24/7 from now until the 28th Dec :(

Babies just arrive when they please, so I'm used to working unusual hours and all the usual holidays!

Out today heading for one of the FOBs: we'll be doing Christmas pieces for the Daily Mail, Scottish Sun and Darwin Times (we have 'Strylians here too...lol)...

DM have promised us a centre-spread, so watch out for that one.

Should be back 'in' on the 30th-ish...

Working boxing day through to the 2nd, then get a day off, working 4th - 8th then sleep two days...

I just got a txt from Reed Employment in Southend (haven't heard from them in over three years!) asking me if I wanted to work as a kitchen porter on Christmas day, 12-7pm for £10.00 and hour.

I think I'll give it a miss!

Same, but for mobile phones. Add to that the "Merry Christmas" & "Happy New Year" SMS shinanegins and it's the busiest time of the year for me.
