I downloaded it to try, not expecting much (I already use SE 3.1 as my raw developer of choice) but my god they've improved it!

Rewind to last year's TP meet in Nant Ffrancon, I took a shot that was so tight on dynamic range it took me till last month to finally get a version I was happy with, and it entailed hours of fiddling across 3 different programs. Just for fun I load the rawfile in SP5 and with 1 measly slider it created almsot exactly what it took me hours over a year to create in the time it took to refresh the preview!

I think I'm hooked but at £220 it's a tad pricey!

Anyone else given it a go?

You ever tried Gimp? I think I tried sikypix once or twice. Only because it was free with the camera though.

If there's a free trial somewhere I might try it.

Gimp isn't fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as any other editing software except maybe Paint.

There is a free trial of Silkypix, here.
