Anyone else lost LR (win10) grad filter tool visual handle?

All was working fine, until last night a forced windows update came through with another unprompted reboot.

Today I can't see at all where my grad filters are, can't select them or change them. That dot is not visible. I can add new ones but only blindly. It kind of makes it nearly impossible to finish editing the hotel images.

Is there a setting in view to toggle the 'pin' that you're talking about.

A workaround might be too hit O after adding the filter so you can see where it is.

Enable the grad filters ( rectangular box)and in the bottom LHS of the screen it says show edit pins you then have a choice of 4 options mine is set to always that shows the pin ( black dot ) all the time.

On a related but slightly different point, has anyone noticed how lightroom randomly changes behaviour occasionally - lightroom 5 and 6 anyway. Like turning off the grid that automatically appeared when rotating an image for example. Sure I can cntrl-alt-o but it's a PITA.

No. Lightroom is the only package I ever used regularly with apparently random behaviour.
