Anyone else having trouble accessing the forum?

I'm finding access to tp is very flaky recently: I quite often get a page that doesn't load properly, or this message:

It seems to happen on my iPhone and iPad, but not on desktop. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether I'm on WiFi or cellular, and it doesn't matter which browser I use.
 
Yes I’ve had it a couple of times yesterday. Issue was much worse a couple of weeks ago but came ok after work done, iirc lots of bots were to blame. There is a thread about it
 
While in Crete a few weeks back, I got IP banned at one place so lived without TP for a couple of weeks.
 
It does seem to be happening less than it was, but it's still fairly frequent for me. Maybe I'm a bot and I'm not self-aware enough to realise...
 
We've been having very high bot traffic recently, upwards of 3000 at a time sometimes, and this was effectively taking the site offline like a DDOS attack. Sirch did some work a few weeks ago and things got better, but there's still a lot of bots around (590 just now) and that might be a part of it.
 
Wonder if you could have a challenge response type thing for non logged in or known users? Ask a random photography question with a lot of multiple choices...mighr slow them down a bit!

Any idea why? What's to gain and who will gain?
 
To do no good I guess.

Haven't people got better and less dubious things to do? Anyone would think people were sat reading 1984 looking for ideas.

You managed to survive without TP for two weeks!! WOW!
 
Had the issue yesterday, thought it was a connection problem on my side, but then it just fixed itself.
AI being trained on these forums honestly sounds so eerie, dead internet theory seems closer than ever.
 
About one in three times I am barred as it claims my IP address is banned. Usually a reboot gets round this but it is annoying. I actually think it is the fault of virginmedia.

Oh..good. I thought it was my iMac. As Dave says, I also re-booted, sometimes pulled the mains plug out, left it a few minutes before putting it back in and that worked. I hadn't had the problem for a few days before our holiday and I'm on my iPad now not that that should make any difference if it's not my end.
 
It happened to me as I logged on just now. I had to restart my computer so it's not gone away.
