Mrs G and myself are sitting here lovely and cosy with the log fire on, and only our two lovely dogs for company.
Snacks to nibble, a selection of DVD's, and looking forward to the fireworks displays from around the world.

Perfect :)

I might add we have no neighbours:)

guess what Mal? Im doing exactly the same thing.....not dogs though....kids :)

the days of jumping in the fountain at Trafalgar square are long gone....not that you can do that now anyway :)

I remember years ago being made to stand outside with a piece of coal in my hand for the turn of midnight :lol::lol:.

I'll be in bed well before midnight, last time I saw a new year in was 2000 I think.

Wife usually goes to bed about 10pm

So I'll be getting gradually more drunk and becoming gradually more offensive on several internet forums, as the evening wears on :)

Yep, just me, the wife, and a couple of bottles of red for the evening. Same as most years.

Far more enjoyable than the hoardes of drunken fools out on the streets, and a darn site cheaper too!

Happy New Year to all of you!:wave:

It had to be someone with dark hair, I would not be able to do it now

Champagne chilling (outside back door), kids out for the night and hopefully no visitors - what a boring old fart I have become:clap:

Nope, husband and I are going to our rugby club where I'm sure all the kids will be running around and screaming and just generally being little darlings!!!

We are having a quiet night in, the teenager is off to a party locally, so we will walk the dogs round to collect her sometime just after midnight, so we can have a few drinkies, some nibbles, and then a bracing walk. I did consider heading over to primrose hill for a view of the freworks but tbh, I can't be a**ed with the climb up there, the struggle to find a parking spot, or standing around in the cold - oh, and we get the Wii to ourselves for a few hours too

Just another night - not going anywhere or doing anything special, hopefully a nice peaceful evening in - or it will be when I get up and let Toxic in who is currently barking at the foxes or whatever she can hear outside.

do yours bark at the fireworks too? mine will be going ape around midnight :bonk:

Iv'e just got the joys of being on call so no alcohol, quiet evening with the good lady and the kids, thai takaway and hope I don't get called.

However Friday when I come off call may well be a different matter:gag:

I'm also stopping in, like what I do most evenings in any case. The last time I was "out" to see a new year in was back in 2000.
Then I'll be having a duvet day tomorrow. :)

Anyone remember watching Jimmy Shand on new years eve :lol::lol:

We've got a couple of friends coming round for a meal, some drinks, some music, perfect :)

I'm waiting up to see the show about Chic Murray and that'll do me, I don't want to see Jackie Bird in a low cut top again :gag:

the wife and kids will be in bed so it will just be me, the dog, fish and of course stella.

I am staying in tonight also...................

We are having herb encrusted rack of lamb at 10 o'clock, a feast to end the year with.

We're staying as well, can't be arsed to go out to be honest. Had a few snifters already and I'm sure there will a couple more but it's just another night as far as I'm concerned.

Happy New Year everyone! :)

Aye, me and the girlfirend are staying in with the dogs. Well I don't drink now so I don't really like going to pubs anymore.

You know how it goes if you go out for a drink New Years Eve, the once a year drinkers have had 3 pints and a snowball and are ****ed, people you don`t care for announce there undying affection for you,the local idiots have been out all day and are fighting between themselves or with the Mrs.People are spewing in the street/bogs/bar.delete as applicable......the yoofs are all out of it and being well ard, the bar staff are sourfaced cos they don`t wanna be working or taking crap off drunken herberts.

Then 12 o`clock comes around and everyone is luvvy duvvy, the ugliest hag in the world approaches with thick red lips mouthing the ridiculous suggestion "Giv us a kizz.....hic......", everyone stops arguing for about 10 minutes, reality sinks in that another year has gone and tomorrow will be like any other bleeding hangover day......God I hate it..........

I'm having a quiet night in unless my partner decides it's time to give birth, our little girl was due on Boxing Day but no show................yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
