I missed out on the TP Howletts meet as I was busy so I was rather pleased when my brother bought me a days photography there as a birthday pressie! Anyone been?

I can choose Howletts, which I know well as I lived next door for many years, or Port Lympne which I visited once as a kid and don't remember very well. I think Port Lympne is bigger, more space and less enclosures so I think I might try there. They also have Ambam who sat on my lap in a nappy over twenty years ago and is now a huge silverback!

So if anyone has done this one I would be keen to hear how it went

Never been but it looks like an interesting day out. Might have fit in a day for POTY.
 
Been to both several times... my brother in law was the woodsman there for many years, and built many of the enclosures at both sites.
 
Any preference Terry? I am leaning towards Port Lympne at the moment.
 
A hard choice as some people prefer one and some the other.
You will not be happy till you have seen both.
 
I knew there was something I meant to talk to you about at the film meet tonight. Let me know if you're going to do this as I'd certainly be interested in going.
 
I am going to do it Nick as it was bought and paid for as a birthday present but not booked the actual date yet. I will get some dates from them and come back to you
