I know this forum is aimed at members who do their own printing, but I wondered if anyone uses,or has used Snapfish, or any similar company. At the moment I do print my own pics, but with my PC on the way out, and probably needing a new printer, I'm beginning to wonder if I wouldn't be as well off using an outside service. I know I will miss actually producing my own prints, having done so for many years before digital, but I will still be able to do my own editing so it won't be a matter of just pressing a button and letting someone produce the prints, and for the amount I do now this would probably work out not much more expensive in that I could buy a lot of prints for the price of a new computer and printer if, as my wife still says " take them to the chemists".
Any advice will be appreciated.

I would recommend Photobox over Snapfish. Having used both, the Photobox box prints seem far superior. Also the larger the print the better quality it seems! I used to be a printer, and only occasionally I get a print from them where I feel I could have 'enhanced' it in someway during the printing process. Photobox over Snapfish if you're going with large online retailer.

There are some smaller boutique style printers who are very good, but I tried a local printer recently and the quality was terrible.

Photobox also offer great sales, if you take advantage buy buying credits with them, it works out cheaper.

Didn't think a lot of the one Photobox print I've seen, but that's not a particularly useful guide. DSCL seem very well priced and popular on here.

I have ordered 'Polaroid Style' prints at Photobox. It was a nice birthday gift for my sister who has a three-year-old daughter. Otherwise, I've never ordered prints online for my photography.
