Anybody do flythroughs?

[Not posting this as a job YET until I have this scoped but this is a possible chunk of work.]

I have a client that's looking for an interior flythrough of their business. There's a lot more stuff that's easy but the tricky bit is to flythrough a large interior space (full of expensive stuff, natch) on a couple of different levels. I reckon it would need a steadicam / gimbal system or maybe somebody who could fly a drone indoors.

Anybody do work like this? Anybody who knows anybody who does stuff like this?

I can do the easy stuff and chop video together but the smooth flythrough is way beyond me.
 
That doesn't sound too challenging for my DJI Inspire and DJI Osmo kit.

I have recently purchased a glidecam it is going well but while I am still getting to grips with it I would be happy to work on this for travel expenses.

Ooo some nice stuff on there :) I was going to ask about intdoor flying but I visited the client site today and you'd have to be very good to fly in there and crashing would get expensive.....

How good is the Osmo in dark places? They probably don't need more than 1080 but might need a narrower angle of view because it's indoors.

I have recently purchased a glidecam it is going well but while I am still getting to grips with it I would be happy to work on this for travel expenses.

What do you use on that?

I am good. Like any camera the ISO will need to be ramped up on the Osmo in a darker environment. One of the benefits of shooting in 4K is that the footage can be zoomed into a cropped. The camera has a fixed focal length.
 
Nikon D800 with either the 24-70 or 14-24 Nikon.

I wonder how that would handle the dark. On my D800 I was taking test shots at ISO 400 / f8 / 1/4s - how does that compare with video?
 
We did this at my last employer, used a camera on a tracking system, rails and a dolly. Lay the track, mark it with tape, shoot and move, overlapping the ends so you got a smooth transition in post. We made it look like a helicopter was shrunk and then flown through the business. You have complete control so could throw in humorous moments like people walking around a corner and meeting the 'helicopter', paperwork blown off desks etc
 
Just finished one for a friend who wanted a fly through of his house, but didn't want a drone flying about, so used my Ronin-M handheld gimbal, with his A7s2 on it and recorded in 4K, so as Ricardodaforce said gives you latitude in post for extra pans and crops etc. Beauty about the Ronin-M is it has one person doing the walk through and if necessary another using the remote to operate the gimbal for the guidance of the camera. But depending upon mode settings you could do it with one person. Its a superb bit of kit. But saying that the Osmo is a superb bit of kit as well nice and compact, with great image quality.

I would normally shoot interiors stills at f/8 but with the video I normally set the lens at 18mm that means if you set the lens to f/4 and the hyperfocal distance everything from 1.6m to infinity to will be focused. That and the lower resolution and the fact that everything is moving means you don't have the same appreciation of sharpness as you do with a still. If you want to get closer than 1.6m you can shoot from a tripod or refocus but have a shallower depth of field.

By my rough calculations your ev levels would allow you to shoot video at ISO 1000, f/4 and 1/50s which would work fine.
