Any Whisky collectors

well, that took a huge length of time to google...

Lyndon, I hadn't seen that price however my question should be more along the lines of--- what is the correct price as they are selling for double that in various places online and wondered why they go for more than than they do at airports.

Please - look left and look at my userid - it is also my name and doesn't have a d in it!

Pretty much the same with anything - online prices vary.... sometimes people are too stupid to shop around... For example a bottle or litre of Bells varies between tesco proper big stupidmarket or an inner city convenience store..

I guess the "correct" price is the price that Johnny Punter is willing to pay... supply v demand etc etc..

Mark...good luck getting a straight answer here.

Quite clearly it is £70 for the 70cl.... given miniatures are overinflated ... £10 - £15.

What really annoys me is the dumb questions that are asked without checking the most powerful search engine there is..

Mark

Robertsons of Pitlochry is a family run business (family by marriage) so I can help with rare / vintage / expressions / lost distilleries / silent stills etc

That said - for a mainsteam commercial bottling like this then google is probably the best place as plenty of places will be selling it.

<looks for drool smilie and fails>

nope

Interesting thread. I've got a couple of shoeboxes full of unopened miniatures that I inherited from my Dad. I never thought they were worth anything but didn't have the heart to throw them out.

Any suggestions regarding places to sell them? EBay or are there more specialist sites for such items?

It shows at an airport it can be had for about £70 however im seeing these sell for £150 etc so thought there may be a reason wcould it be availability, low numbers etc.

You've just answered you're own question. Comparing airport/duty free pricing to regular stores is not a fair fight. Duty Free stores get a big break on pricing compared to regular high street stores, so that's why you're seeing a big difference in price.
