I've just spent far too long trying to find what the typeface is that includes these numerals ...

and I'm getting nowhere. Can anybody please point me in the right direction? Better still, a chalk-on-blackboard kind of font which includes handwritten numerals in a similar "fruit and veg stall" kind of style?

If you use a Mac with an OS later than 10.6 you should find "Chalkduster" font already installed (not brilliant, but it may suffice).

If you're on PC (or Mac), Google searching something like "free chalk font" should bring up numerous options.

'Victorian' typface/font?

I don't know which one it is but www.dafont.com has lots you can search through in different categories, they are free for private use of the website is still up and running

Looks like ITC Bodoni

I don't know if you can get it for free.

Google itc bodoni numbers and then images :)

It's got some fat bits on it that are fatter than usual. And the different digits might not be the same font. The serifs on the 2 for example. So it's worth trawling through the online font catalogs.

What do you need it for? Do you need digits or the full alphabet? In what program will you use it?

Because when I need a particular font that doesn't exist, I download the nearest one to it. Then I'll tweak it to suit in Inkscape. You only need to tweak about 5 or 6 letters, then reuse them to make up the others. E. G. Groups of similar letter shapes:
- g q d b p o c e --- h m n r u --- f t j i l

If you need something specific, I'd be happy to help out.

Thank you very much indeed, guys. It's actually my wife who's after it for one of her projects; she wants to do chalk-paint words and numbers on blackboards à la old-money market traders. She's tried it freehand but really needs a font to copy, and thought I might have more luck searching than she has. Hopefully though she's sorted now with those suggestions, so if I get an extra bit of carrot cake out of this, I'll gladly share it with you :)

Cant find an exact match but it's very close to: Dumha Goirt Bold

upload the image to this site: http://www.whatfontis.com/
and key in a few of the characters (in this case numbers) it finds and let it find all suggestions. Number 7 on the list is the one I mention above.
