I intend to put the 1.4 on lens first then 2x if it makes much difference Don't really know..have a look on the bird threads,few examples there...mark

I think they'll only fit one way? At least mine do!

Edit: That's sigma converters on a 120-300, they'll only fit.....

2x nearest the lens, at least thats how i use it (following a lot of reading)with my 300 f2.8. you can put them in any order if you use a short extension tube (between them). I find with stacked converters you are best with manual focus as it seems to hunt a lot - also need to experiment with exposure as on auto the camera will get it wrong (1dmk3 in my case)

Best way to see what works best is to try all the possible combinations to see which gives you results YOU're happiest with. That's assuming that there are no physical reasons why either telecon won't fit on the lens (I know some Nikon lenses can't be used with Nikon telecons - the rear element of the lens meets the glass in the converter).
