Yes
I have been wanting to visit Snettisham for ages and have managed to organise a visit for next Tuesday (it's a pretty high tide).

I've read the RSPB site and got the maps etc. Does anyone have any other tips or advice or anything I might need to know.

I will be shooting with a D200 with various lenses up to a 300mm with a 1.7 TC.

Thanks in advance !

Andy.

Went 3 weeks ago, look out for the lizards on the walk from the car park,
be prepared for a long walk, you will only need your longest lens.
On the walk back if the tides out walk along the shore line for the plovers.
Enjoy and give it plenty of time.

As you walk from the RSPB/Angling car park there is a bit where you have a lake on your right and scrub on your left leading to an embankment. On about 30% of my visits I have seen a Barn Owl in the scrub - at all times of the day.

Get to the hide well before high tide for the best views of the birds coming in.

Although a telephoto lens will probably get the most use you can get some good shots with the other lenses.

Enjoy it :)

Thanks guys - thats just the kind of info I was after :)

wrap up warm... then put some more layers on, it's hit by icy winds from every side, arrive when it's still dark and get in position before sunrise, it's a 1km+ trek from the car park, take a head torch, long lenses are required for most of the decent shots (the longer the better)
