Any romantics on the forum?

With February the 14th approaching, valentines day, I am looking for ideas on what to get Mrs Keith.

So any thoughts or ideas on what I could get?

If you don't know what to get her.............
Perhaps divorce papers?

:D

According to my wife the best I ever came up with. I Left for work early and left a single rose in the bathroom for her, I left another rose on her car steering wheel and then another hanging from the roof over her parking spot at work and another at the receptionist desk that she passed to get to her office....then in her office a dozen roses. All the Lady's in her office were very impressed and told my wife how lucky she was to have such a romantic husband. The draw back to all this was the men in the office were really P off at me

Plus you have to top that the next year or at least equal it, or you get the NAg, Nag Nag...:(

Well I consider myself lucky as my Fiancée isn't a massive fan of over-blown romantic gestures but really appriciates smaller, more thoughtful acknowledgements (as opposed to my ex who pretty much insisted I worshiped the ground she walked on every waking moment  )

Annnnnnnnnyway, we're getting married on 30th March and Rachael suggested that maybe it'd be a good idea just to stick with a card and a nice meal at home to mark Valentine's day given that it's only a matter of weeks until the wedding.

Suits me fine as I don't think Valentine's day should really count when your in a relationship and you should show your other half how much they mean to you everyday (yes, I am a soppy sod  ). I buy her flowers every couple of weeks anyway so it pretty much takes them out of the equation for Valentine's day

However that's not so say she wont be receiving a little pressie or two ;)

a few years back i bought the missus a piano for valentines - had it delivered while she was out, tied a big red ribbon round it, and awaited the reaction

I was waiting for a punchline there about a misunderstanding involving a "pianist" and a red ribbon

A good bet is a beauty treatment from a local salon, pedicure, manicure, facial etc...

One of those can be done at home at no cost :naughty:

Square toed shoes so she can stand closer to the sink..

I didn't get my partner a card or present one year because we didn't hold with the commercialism of events like Valentines Day etc. Only to realise that this arrangement was with my PREVIOUS girlfriend...you can imagine how well that went down :D

14th Feb is my birthday, how crap is that?
I have to by the Mrs stuff as a present on my birthday..........

I will be in Rome paid for by hubby thought of by hubby but not with hubby so taking my daughter. he is not here.

course that depends on who from

it's our sons bday on the 14th so Valentines day doesn't mean what it used to do. I might let her do things to me if she's lucky :)

I just bought the wife a pamper day at a local "spa", 2hrs of foot and body massage, warm relaxing armotherapy bath and robes etc. She'll love it :)

fixed that for you Pete.

To the OP... you could nip down to Ann Summers and get some sexy undies, a few lotions and maybe a toy or two. While you're in there, see if there's anything she might like too

If I ever bought my wife a bouquet, she'd wonder WTF I'd been up to.

From time to time, I slip up and get a slightly sarcky "see, you can be romantic!".

Might have to see if Sainsbury's have any chocs that she like but I don't on special offer, although I doubt it this close to hallmark benefit day!

A Camera perhaps? Teach her the basics and have a budding photographer :)
