Last few days has seen my mobile access change.

Have a personal iphone 6 on 3 and work iPhone 5c on ee. The work phone got 3g across the whole house for the past year, a couple of iffy patches but overall good enough. Personal phone was not quite so good, but would get 3g on the sofa, in bed and near windows (1 or 2 bars).

Since Friday though coverage for both has been awful, work phone gets coverage in a couple of precise locations and personal one nothing! Yet Sunday night was all fine in the next village pub and today perfect in london and on train.

so its not the phones or sims... we did have a major thunderstorm overhead Friday (lightening hit a house on the same estate and caught fire), could that be whats happened?

assume that a transmitter has gone down? Some piggyback, some don't.......

Well, on work one i can still get some 3g, just have to be careful where phone is, if I walk down the road, personal phone gets 3g, so weird that its just the house that seems to be affected?

Atmospherics can cause problem with signal, and the location of each mast in relation to your phone.

Old analog TV used to suffer real bad in certain area with tidal times .

I once had a CB radio which I could talk up to 25 miles away then one day ended up talking to some guy in the states :)
I didn't believe him until a friend on ham radio checked for me

Damage to the transmitter most likely, running on low power until it get's fixed.
