Any other musicians?

Lots of guitarists :) One of the guitarists in the rock band I play with had his eye on a Manson guitar, but couldn't afford the £3k price tag  So he took his Ibanzez series 3 and his Fender showmaster to manson and had them put nailbomber pickups, a fernandez sustainer and a fuzz-factory in each of them

Annoys me when people do that :nono:

Matt Bellamy's my idol, but it's so unoriginal these days! haha

Idol or not, I don't see any reason why that should be annoying lol. It's not like he's done it for the sake of it, he actually uses them and we do cover a few Muse tracks. More to the point he knows what he's doing with them too. The Ibaznez was a nice looking and even better sounding guitar to start with, now it's the sex!

No prizes for guessing what instrument I play!

I played various brass instruments in several brass bands for thirty years or more. Sadly, as many others, I have not played for ten years now. A good brass band still lifts the hairs on my neck though.

Both self-taught, but I play guitar and keyboard

Been doing this for more years than I care to remember. :)

I did once play a drum in the Sea Cadet Band, back that was back in the 1950's :D

I play guitar (blues and classic rock) though I wouldn't class myself as a musician...

Sorry I'm late (I only joined yesterday), but I have been a guitarist for 45 years. I played violin from the age of seven and then progressed (?) to flugelhorn in the school band. I picked up a guitar at the age of 14, and never looked back.

Welcome... Could be a case of mistaken identity, but are you the same Richbrew from My Les Paul forum?

Hi Richbrew - guitarist here, although I played brass in my teens too.

Clapton fan by any chance? Judging from Hideaway and Key To The Highway.

I can just about limp through a few songs on my Yamaha bass guitar after trying every instrument known to man.

I play drums, have a vintage set of Ludwigs, also play reasonable guitar, have an acoustic and an original Ibanez Iceman. I attempt keyboard, mainly use it as a motherboard to run Cubase for multi tracking digital instruments.

I used to work with a guy who played trumpet in the Blackpool Tower Circus band, every week they would put a list up for the coming weeks requirements, it always read " Required, seven musicians and a drummer"

Piano, Guitar and I sing (kind of...)! Always wanted to be in a band, but never had the balls to go in search of one.

Good job I play other things so I still qualify for musician status. It is like the other line, what do they call some one who hangs around with musicians, a drummer.
