Yes
Right then....My nissin 866 will trigger my canon 430ex2 quite happily when the nissin is attached to the camera but when attached to my yong nuo triggers the nissin will only fire in manual mode and will not trigger the canon flash.

Can anyone advise if there is a way to trigger the Nissin off camera and it tell the 430 to also fire?

cheers

Yes, using your remote triggers.

Sorry, but I don't see what else you're trying to achieve; unless it's TTL, which you can't do with that set up.

Sorry Ive not made myself clear enough.....

I only have 1 wireless receiver, so I thought if it was connected to the Nissin it would trigger the nissin to fire which would in turn tell the canon flash to fire via the wireless master/slave function, therefore removing the need for me to have another YN receiver for the canon flash..

But this doesnt seem to work.. if the YN receiver is connected to the nissin it seems to stop talking wirelessly to the canon.

hope that makes better sence!

That's because, from memory, the 430(1) doesn't have a manual mode or allow non ETTL optical triggering.

why not fire them the other way around . Has the nissin got an optical slave function ?

I've had a quick look on the Kenro website and there's no mention of it , so it doesn't look like thats going to work either .

Just tried and it does have optical trigger in manual mode, called SD or SF, have tried it and it works!!! Thanks John!

It does.

It's in the Advanced Manual Menu under 'Slave'.

glad that you have managed to sort it out . :)
