Anyone know where I can get CV boots around 80mm and 90mm diameter
I've been told volvo marine engines use them but slightly smaller so wondering about lorries

Will measure the exact size later if they are available up to those sizes

Thanks but it needs to be those widths at the narrow end and either stay at that or widen.
I know some marine ones do but not found one big enough yet

What's the application Ingrid?

I know some marine and motor engineers so might be able to help if I know a bit more about your specific need.

Practicing safe sex  A pic of the old one might be a good idea if you have one Ingrid.

Now you are going to laugh Nod
Met a couple at the weekend who have them fitted over lens hoods to keep the light out when shooting through glass, then are quite a bit longer and flexible, and yes they were from the marine engine Alan has mentioned, worked a treat but not big enough for my lenses

Why would I laugh? It's a bloody good idea. Premier Ink have rubber hoods (NOT GIMP MASKS!!!) up to 77mm so you might be able to cannibalise one of them and an old filter to fit larger diameter lenses. Thinking laterally, maybe some car inner tube cut and glued, again, using an old filter as the lens connection? Might not be that aesthetically pleasing but should work!

This is going to give me nightmares later :help:

And the thought of me in a gimp mask wasn't?!

Mind bleach available from all good pubs (and plenty of bad ones too!!!)

Thanks Nod but it is actually fitted over the lens hood not on a filter, hence the larger size, and needs to be the concertina variety so you can move the camera about,
I'll see if I can get a picture from the person concerned to give you an idea

I get the idea and I reckon a bit of inner tube, a couple of elastic bands and a bit of large pipe would do the job.

Nope it needs to be more rigid the an inner tube, yet flexible so you can move the camera around whilst keeping it on the glass without it getting in view, it worked a treat
I'll make enquiries around and about and see what I can find, thanks for your help anyway

How about corrugated rubber pipe. ...would that do it for you?

No probs Ingrid, good luck.

So Ingrid likes it rigid then

In a word NO if that was what I wanted then I would

UK suppliers  all the ones I've found seems to be in india or far east

yes it come in all sizes ... easy to find, you just have to find a corrugated rubber pipe supplier. :D ;)

Corrugated rubber - ribbed for her pleasure to press against the glass...

(Sorry Ingrid!)
