Think they woud look good in a display case & would be interesting to show off your collection.
If I started collecting knives, I would have to sleep with one eye open just in case Mrs Piggin had any ideas.

Certainly does! Not the best knife steel out there but takes a razor sharp edge and very well made knives. They supply knives for the likes of spyderco and real steel who then bump the price up by about 330 because it has their name on it.

I think Sanrenmu might also be supplying the Boker Plus TechTool penknives, saw a post elsewhere showing a very similar penknife from them.

Question - Has anyone ever dealt with English Hand Made Knives before? I placed an order with them last week and have not even had an acknowledgement of it, nor a reply to a message sent via their contact page. I might try phoning if I don't hear back by tomorrow night.

Hi mate never dealt with them tbh..I only buy from fastech or HH who are superb to deal with, most orders with HH turn up next day even with their standard delivery cant rate them enough!

Loving that lock knife in the last set & the photography is not bad either ;)

Cheers Stuart, they were the only place that had the combination I wanted, I've decided to try 'making' an Enzo Trapper kit, nobody else had the Scales that I want along with the Trapper version I want.

Ahh right understand mate..hopefully it will turn up ok

Thanks Stuart for the information.
Had a quick look through their pages & there is lots I would purchase if I had the funds.

Thanks Stuart for the link. Some very nice pieces being sold.
The only problem is, what about UK customs?

Also not illegal to import knives unless it's a flick knife etc

Thanks Stuart.
Had a look at the law on knives last night & came to the same conclusion. The only problem is you may have to interpret the sellers description ie a folding knife could be a butterfly knife etc.

No worries..the knives are clearly marked up in the description so shouldnt be an issue.UK laws state you cannot carry a knife with a locking blade or a knife that exceeds 3" blade length unless you have good reason i.e its used for work etc. However its totally legal to carry a non locking knife which has a blade less than 3" without giving good reason as its classed as a pen knife.Obviously no matter what size or locking mechanism if you are waving any knife about in a threatening manner you will get nicked.Heres a couple of mine that are perfectly legal to have on you at all times..also in this link all the knives are uk legal carry

Any recommendation for a decent fish filleting knife Stuart,I have a Gerber one, but it is a bit crap to be honest. Are the Rapala ones any good?

Not tried them mate tbh..I believe mora now do one and their knives are usually excellent.

Thanks Stuart, they seem a reasonable price as well. May just press the button on that, Hennies have them in stock as well.

What Stuart says about lock knives is quite correct, but be careful if you decide to buy from Fast Tech or other international sources. Balisongs (butterfly knives) and disguised knives are banned for sale in the UK, not just restricted for EDC, and there are a few blades on their website that seem to fall into these categories.

There's a summary of the law here: https://www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives. It's good enough to give you a general idea, but doesn't cover everything, and the 'good reason' qualification is a bit woolly.

Thanks Martyn for the extra help.

I have just been looking through this thread again & its gone from nice knife - concerned I am going to become John Wayne Bobbitt - been shot in my bed by south wales police.
Been a roller coaster week lol.

The Enzo Trapper kit came from English Hand made Knives. I didn't like the plain brass bolts so I made some mosaic pins, not sure they worked as well as I'd hoped but they're ok (shades of Eye of Horus). The Blade steel is S30v and darned hard to work with, I bought a special cobalt drill bit that turned out to be junk and then tried a tungsten carbide bit that worked a treat phew. Handle is white linen paper micarta and really difficult to photograph, it either looks dirty or washed out but is far nicer in real life. It's kind of cheating buying a kit but there's no way I could ever have forged S30v myself even if I had a forge.

Drilled out the scales to fit the new pins (just a slight f*** up there but fixed :) and added a lanyard hole which is lined with the same brass tube the pins are made from. Sheath is from HH and is a plain brown made specifically for the trapper. I might make my own at some point, I've some black Kydex but I'm not sure it will suit the knife.

Thats a lovely knife mate..with great steel! I have a couple with s30 v and edge retention is fantastic.Quite hard to sharpen though

Thanks, it's sharp as a razor and will probably stay that way. Enzo (Brisa) make a very nice range of blades including a PK70 folding scandi knife that's uk legal which I think will be my next, I think Stuart may have the flat grind one? From the image further up ^

Anyone know where I can find a bush to craft?

Yep i have the enzo pk70 flat grind..stunning little knife and razor sharp out the box, havent had to touch mine yet with a sharpener

You should tis awesome and the scandi grind is also razor sharp out of the box.... I went curly birch...nice finish.

I ordered a knife and some other bits and pieces from Fasttool, got an email this morning to say that Malaysia post can not transport knives just now and gave me a couple of other options of carrier or a refund of it. I chose one of the optional carriers and got a very quick reply saying they'd send the entire order the same way.
It's interesting to see a company that goes out of it's way to be accommodating like this, especially when the products are so cheap and the delivery is free worlwide.
