Hi

Is there a kind photoshopper out there with a bit of time on there hands who could do me a favour please ?

I've got an image that needs the background sorting , i took it at a sports hall and theres a notice board in the background that needs removing , I didnt have any choice when taking the photo as space was limited

Also one of the people in the group is stood to far away , could they be moved ? no worries if they cant

I want to submit it to a local paper so would appreciate any help

I'll email the high res image to any kind person who can help

Best way is to post the photo here so people can see it and then judge if it can easily be done...

This was about 3 minutes. With more time spent, blending in the clones could be made much less obvious
 
If you are submitting it to any newspaper then don't re-touch it, send it as is.
I know it doesn't look like much but it could come back to haunt you, especially as you have posted it on a public forum. The newspaper could also be very upset (and rightly so.)

There's nothing really that wrong with the pic that will stop it getting used on the inside sports page.

why cant i retouch it before sending to a newspaper ?

I suppose I could send them the original and print the retouched one for the people in the pic

I don't suppose you want a copy of the breaking section from that grading....

I was one of the photographers for the event and i have a copy of all of them...!

I saw the big black guy with the dreads breaking , awesome !!
 
Manipulating an image that is considered reportage is a big no no as far as newspapers are concerned.

They want images that are faithful to what was in front of the camera when the picture was taken, even if it has some minor aesthetic flaws.

For a serious news item this might have some bearing but not for a local minor news story.
