I rarely get out in the day with my camera, sometimes not even for weeks. With most of my spare time on a night, astronomy is something I'm growing more keen on every day. Is there anyone here who can point me towards some good info on where to start? Like books, websites, dvd's/videos on the internet etc. I k
unow the basic constellations but that's about it, so basically I need to start from fresh
I'm quite keen on buying a scope to have a look a bit deeper to what the naked eye can see. Eventually I want to be able to look and find different galaxies, planets, best time of year to see different things etc.
It's also something I can do with my dad. He's 88 years old now and still going strong but obviously my time with him isn't going to last a lot longer. He's also just bought a scope so I think he would like it if I joined him without stealing his every few minutes
Any help would be appreciated
