Jessops don't do discount vouchers for DSLRs any more. They might price match, but it depends on the store. I asked a branch local to me to price match Calumet and they refused, claiming Calumet's price was below their cost price...

Hmm, that's odd...

Jessops has always price matched me against Calumet. Their policy is to not only match the price, but beat it by 1 pound!

Keep in mind though, that it only works with stores that are within 10 miles of that Jessops (might be 20?)
 
i haven't followed the online transaction all the way, but i put in say XMAS10 and/ or XMAS20 (exclude DSLR), but it still takes off £10/£20

i guess it won't allow it when i carry on to paying?

I've always been able to negotiate a discount at Jessops, so give it a try. Also, I think the Daily Mail has a Jessops money-off voucher tomorrow, but might only be a fiver!

ok, thanks. might go in there and see what they can do ;-)

will want at least:
sony a300 body £284
sony 18 -200 lens £150
= £434

if they can price match i could be spending an extra £130 for the flash
total of £564 for them (see if they want to do business)
 
Jessops can go and **** foir any of my money this year. I ordered a very expensive bit of kit from them over 3 weeks ago now. Six phone calls later and many excuses it still has not arrived. Callumet did a similar thing to me to :bang:

warehouse express all the way for me from now on:thumbs:
 
going for ease and best prices, but a300 is exclusive to jessops.

can someone confirm, that this kit will be better or atleast similar to my old nikon d40 with lens kit i had before?
 
i meant how does the sony a300 body compare to the nikon d40 and more importanty, how does the nikon 18-55 and 55-200 kit lens, fair with the sony 18-200?
 
I agree with Wirral Tog about warehouse express. But they seem to be carrying less stock these days so there might be delays from them too.

Just buy the thing and get out and take some pics. The price of the 350 went up at one retailer by nearly £100 in the last week, so the 300 won't be far behind plus there's mention in another thread that prices are set to rise by 15% next month.

He who hesitates and all that....;)
