Hi Everyone,

Just wondered if anyone could give me any clues on how i could achieve this effect using my 40D / ps or any other software?
I know that this photo was originally taken on a canon a1 slr.

Have one leg of your tripod shorter than the others? :shrug:
 
I`m not sure what effect are you talking about? This picture is looks to me as one taken from mobile phone ....
 
My best guess would be using increasing vibrance and reducing saturation.
Add grain, have a gaussian blur layer, add vignetting, and fiddle about with levels.
I'm tempted to say create a B&W layer over the original image, and increase opacity.
