OK, so I have a slight problem when it comes to getting out and about to take photographs. I can't walk far, like maybe 20 feet, a bit more at a push. And I certainly can't stand still for more than a few minutes.

This has become a real problem for me time and time again. I end up always thinking about this before we go anywhere and it usually ends up being the reason we decide not to go :sulk:

I'm also agoraphobic. The ONLY thing that gets me in the right mind set to go out, is my photography. So as you can imagine I need some inspiration to get out.

So does anyone have any idea's of places I can go to shot some good stuff that meets the following criteria:

Has parking space within 50ft of the subject
Has seating, or suitable ground for hosting a seat (that often goes in the boot of the car with us)
Is not a busy place
Is within an hour and a half driving distance from Boston, Lincs.

Though the distance doesn't matter too much if you know of somewhere really special.

:help:

I took the hubby to Silverstone for his birthday in September. To be honest it bored me almost to death  And it took us ages to find somewhere that wasn't crowded, but still in view of the track. But thank you

That's a lovely idea, but I would have trouble getting on a boat :sulk:

I'm a hopeless case eh?

Apologies if I'm being stupid but do you not have a wheelchair to help you get about?

I doubt it. Getting on a boat in real life isn't like some of the morons you see on the likes of You've Been Framed trying to get themselves into a rowing boat. I've been on a few boat trips; From Cyprus to Egypt (although that was technically a ship), plus small cruise boats on the Nile, and the Seine. Getting on many boats is no more difficult than walking to the garden gate.

So, have a look around. You'll prolly be surprised.

probably people photography would suit you, if you get yourself something like a 70-300mm len's, that way you could probably keep a good distance away and get some good candid shot's.

The zoo on a nice sunny day is always a good spot if you like pointing glass at beasties. Furry or otherwise.

you need to go to a drive thru Safari Park or similar, or zoo, plenty of places to rest whilst taking candids and animal pics.

motorsport is good, as would be airshows

evilowl ~ No I don't have one, I should have one, but am resiting, as I am intending to do something about it.

Gfk ~ That's a great point. I will look into that!

Thailand tel ~ that is a very good idea too, but I am saving for a Canon 350D right now, and I don't think I could get a lens like that for my Kodak Z740

Oldgit & ppp ~ another good idea! the only thing that worries me about a zoo, is the walking around from exhibit to exhibit, but the safari type zoo is a cool idea, thanks :)

Chewyuk ~ Thanks, but I don't have a chessboard
