Any good ideas for fastening a camera to rucksack shoulder strap?

Chris, out of interest, you say the plate is Arca compatible - is the reverse true, IE if you had (for example) an Arca compatible L-Plate on your camera, would that then fit in the strap buckle?
 
I don't think so because the latch on the holder fastens into the bottom of the plate and the plate has groves in it so that you can just push the plate into the holder and it latches
