Yes
I bought a VERY cheap square filter holder off fleabay. WHilst it does the job (i.e. holds the filters) it is very difficult to use. I feel that when i am sliding a ND Grad filter in to a set position it doesnt slide in smoothly and requires a bit of force to get it in to position.

Can anyone recommend a decent filter holder?

what size filters do you have?

if 85mm in size,i can recommend the cokin P filter holder...not very expensive, but works very well..

85mm filters, Hitech 85 system or Cokin P

100mm filters, Hitech 100 system, Cokin Z, or (my choice) Lee System

100mm filters are obviously more expensive but are much more future proof in terms of working with wide angles and full frame.

Could be your filters are a different thickness. They vary a bit between brands.
