any good films about? *CONTAINS SPOILERS*

Not particularly new but I wached this and (without saying to much) it has many twists.

Christian Bale gained attention for his insane devotion (weight loss) to the role in ...The Machinist

Superb

Well, somebody's got to say it...

HP5 or Tri-X for fastish B&W (push well), Velvia for landscapes...

Watched World War Z last night. Mad Zombie alert. Effects and the film was great.

Along the lines of what I was thinking, especially in a photography forum, although I would personally add Portra 400 or Fuji Pro 400H for colour. These films are awesome for their skin tones, latitude, and dynamic range.

Stop talking alien! We don't all do film :D

I keep meaning to watch World war Z, think I will tonight. the missus is out for a girly session, so it'll be me, pizza, beers and WWZ.

Just finished watching, and WWZ aint all it's cracked up to be IMHO. Way too many holes, some scenes are beyond ridiculous, even though I expected OTT from the off. It's not the worst, but I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about recommending it to anyone.

Watched "olympus has fallen" last night...

First..its as said.. one man saves the day film...nothing much new in it.. quite brutal though when the whitehouse is being attacked... no nonsense killing :)

POSSIBLE SPOILER!!
Stand out line... never heard it before... lets me and you play a game of f off.... you go first :)

POSSIBLE SPOILER!!
There was one section of the film that seemed to be a total rip off from "under siege" when he gets the cell phone and calls in..The whole scene..

"Men Behind The Sun"

A film of questionable legality, “Men Behind the Sun” (or Hei tai yang 731) is a Hong Kong film produced in 1988 directed by Tun Fei Mou. It set out to chronicle the atrocities committed by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War 2 and managed to infuriate everyone involved.

A controversial / iconic film in 'film circles' and it certainly stays with you.

I watched this movie more out out curiosity than anything else due to the famous inlusion of real body parts, real autopsy and 'that' cat scene.

Certainly not one to go into without a heads up so google it first.

Film is here..

I watched it Saturday night too, and yes that line was the best but I found the film so unbelievable it spoiled my enjoyment of it. Talk about plot holes? The entire Nation of S. Korea or the Presidents life..hmmm... "lets play a game of f off, you go first" the end.

I started watching HAMMER OF THE GODS as I like the type of film... but OMG how cheap and nasty... very poorly made IMHO and not very believable.. they just wouldn't talk like that..

Watched REDEMPTION with Jason Statham ... This was NOT his usual type of film.. hmm well maybe it was.. but much much better.. well made.. you can tell from the first few minutes its a well made film... Enjoyed it and had a few differences..

This is the end is pretty funny, a slightly different take on the apocalypse. It's a fun film, but could have done without the crap ending.

There was a film on the scifi channel last week

I really didn't think they made films that bad any more

It was about a storm that hit a beach and threw thousands of the worst cgi sharks ever into town to eat people

I lasted 20 minutes

I gather you haven't yet seen "Ghost Shark" then? Another SciFy classic...I lasted 10 minutes.

Sounds like Sharknado.

Truly awful, in every sense. I think they make them so bad purposely because there is a following for these ultra-cheese flicks. Sadly.

I went to see Rush on Friday night.

Was really looking forward to seeing it, but I've just started a new job with rather different hours to that of a student, went for a few pint beforehand, and I was fast asleep 10 mins into the film :(

Watched Ironman 3 at the weekend, was expecting it to be dire but then really enjoyed it. Much better than Ironman 2.

Cloud Atlas last night. What an excellent film. If only I knew what it was about

I will be watching it again in the next few week. Sometimes it becomes clearer second time around.

I was like that with Pulp Fiction. Had to watch it a second time within a few weeks.

For those who like true stories, I can highly recommend 'The way back' - a few recognisable faces but a real fantastic story behind it, no CGI, infact, no [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] to be honest!

Blue Caprice ....not a fun film by any stretch of the imagination..in fact it's a very sad tale of mental abuse and corruption. The story of the Washington sniper. Grim, but worth watching.

Tyrannosaur

Not a cheer you up film but gripping and very well acted

Fast and Furious 6.

No, maybe not then... Although I did see it through to the end. (where it must have been the longest runway ever built)

Oblivion.......................I want that house, complete with pool and jet plane thingy!

Eden Lake - you will never go near a hoodie again.

Really really good with a great ending. It is a bit gory :D
