No
I'm staying in Swindon and there isn't much happening around here for fashion. I have a full time job in IT with endless codes to look at :cuckoo:, I thought it would be nice to see vibrance colors during my freetime to rejuvenate my brain. I hope there are some passes to some nice fashion show. Anyone know is there any site/place i can obtain this information? I don't mind going in as a (free) backup photographer as all I need is exposure :woot:

Hopefully, I can throw my 70-200 VR f2.8 in action again. :bonk:

Unfortunately for you most of these opertunities are going to be shooting foilo work for MUA or Hair people who are going to want to see some kind of folio. This is for the shows. Also for the shows the photography pit (designated area) are going to be very crowded as it is.

As for studio work, you should also realise that most of these types of shoots are a colaberation between a photographer, MUA, Stylest (art director), Hair stylest, model, and one or two assistants. You can try to get assisting work in this area, but like the shows there is alot of competition for these assisting roles, and most photographers like to use the same people all the time, as they know what they are going to get.

I am sorry if you know all this already, but this is just a heads up.

Thanks for your information. I didn't expect much too as i know most of those photographer area in the fashion show are reserved by agencies. I'm wondering is it popular among model wannabe to shoot TFCD for their portfolio. I used to spent sometimes hang around with my camera mates to shoot TFCD before I came to work here in UK.

I'm sure InaGlo will be along soon, she works in the beauty/fashion business and no doubt she will be able to give you some pointers.

Have you tried talking to the local colleges, etc.? Some of the fashion students might be interested in a TFP/TFCD deal.
