Don't see how it could possibly be at Donny. The company that bid for it has gone bust.
Rumours are going around that Bernie could buy it up and stage it himself! Hows about that for negotiating!?
I would love to see the rent go up if he does buy the track - as it doesn't come with the land ;)

to be honest we didn't think Doni would work out - it was a nice dream, but, it was just a dream... I feel sorry for the land owners who now have a smashed out ground that someone needs to get ready for the start of the seasons...

Can't wait for the new season.

I think Jenson will shine in the McLaren, whether he'll shine brighter than Hamilton is another question.

I can't see one team pulling ahead like this season unless a loop-hole in the rules is exploited by a couple of teams.

Until changes are made in the regs regarding car construction it will still be he who starts first on the grid will probably win, frankly I don't care which driver/team wins, I want to see close racing and lots of overtaking, so I'll probably stick to the BTCC and keep collecting wing mirrors and anything else that gets knocked off.

the only prob with btcc is teams and manufacts. keep pulling out.. to concentrate on the wtcc... :(

Button made a big mistake, his averageness was exposed in the mid season, and will be exposed all of next season.

I think that's wholly unfair. Jenson Button is regarded as one of the smoothest drivers currently racing, and did a brilliant job to win the WC last year. Admittedly he had a shaky 2nd half of the season but that was more down to nerves at the prospect of winning the WC which he was so desperate to win, and trying to coast with the massive points lead he had. In the end, he won comfortably with a race to go so really you have to say he did what was required of him to win the championship. The driving he did in the penultimate race highlighted how good he really is and I don't think for one minute he will look out of place at McLaren. Saying that, I think Lewis is a slightly better driver and as long as McLaren build on the strength they showed in the latter part of this year's championship, he will be well set to take the crown again.

I think in the 1st race we are going to see:

Hamilton starting from grid postion

I certainly hope so.......

Strange comment?

The whole idea of qualifying is to get the favoured grid position so you have an advantage out front making it more likely that you will win. Even so, only 10 out of the 17 races last season were won by the driver on pole, which doesn't really back up your point.

an extra twist Mr Shui has not yet signed for his next stint as Ferrari consultant - making rumours even stronger he is talking to Merc about driving

JB is much much kinder on tyres than LH. With no refuelling next year, he who is quick but kind to tyres will not need to make as many pitstops.

Jacques Villeneuve was spotted in my local yesterday - may be up for the Lotus F1 drive.

I think Button had a great season but I doubt we'll see him at the top again. The double diffuser situation gave him the edge early on but once the scales were balanced he was out of his league. Brief moments of genius in the later parts of the season wasn't enough to convince me that he could do it again. His 15 minutes...

Next season Hamilton will be pushing the leaderboard, with Vettel on his tail.

One to watch .... kobayashi

I still think Button made a big mistake - but only time will tell - I agree Kobayashi showed serious promoise

I don't think we will see MS driving again. He has gon on record saying that he has no intention of returning and is happy with his role at the m oment.
But i would love to see him race against LH so that debate could be put to bed one and for all.
MS is not the Stig Aunt Bessie is:)

Kobayashi used the two or three races he had as a shop window. He was chosen, not because of his ability - GP2 record was midfield most of the time, but because he was Japanese driving for a Japanese manufacturer and had a limited time to make an impression.

The Toyota car has been very fast - would have won two races this season if it weren't for those pesky Brawns, the first from the back of the grid.

It will be interesting to see how those who are aggressive on tyres will cope next season without being able to get new ones during a fuel stop. They'll still be able to make tyre stops, but kinder drivers won't need to.
