Any dealings with....

Good price - I picked one up in the USA when I was there a couple of weeks ago - had a play in vegas with this lens and I liked it. *note to self* must process my vegas pics!

Well, I have a choice to make

1. Repair van, so I can get back to work, well 'proper work' :'(

2. Buy a new lens :woot:

3. Pay some of my tax bill :sulk:

Spotted the web site and wandered if they were a reputable dealer.

I look forward to seeing these shots once processed.

My Dads in Vegas at the moment, i have sent a shopping list over with him, and the 10-20 is on it, as wel as the Sigma 50-500 and Canon 100-400 L.

What were the prices like over there

Hi.

I've just returned from the states (complete with a SB600, nifty fifty, manfrotto 190xbpro and 804rc2 head - luckily customs didn't stop me ;) ).

Prices over there are pretty good. If you have relatives over there, I'd suggest they try and find a calumet store as they know their stuff, are quite cheap and also have UK shops in case anything goes wrong!!!

I dealt with the one in San Francisco via email, before going in and collecting the goods - excellent service.

Let me know if you need any more info. All prices can be found on their website .

Cheers.

I've bought some stuff from Devon cameras. Not all that cheap, but excellent service. I bought from them after a recommendation.

On a recent business trip I visited Devon Cameras (Exexter Branch). Couldn't have been more helpful, I ended up buying 2 lenses (Sigma 10-22and s/h Canon 85mm) and a Canon 430EX flash from them. Haggled a bit on price and got a good deal (and I could try it all out in the shop).

A few days later I ordered a Lowepro backpack and some more memory cards from them, again first class service, items delivered well packed and promptly.
