Any carp fisherman about?

I don't target carp in particular, but I can't seem to stop catching the buggers!

Not one of my best, but I love the look! That was a rather startled looking common from last summer!

I'm carp at fishing ..................does that count?

Ah, I can't seem to fish for anything else!! :bonk:

Well, I'm carp at carp fishing, so I'm going to say yes :gag::lol:

me :D

Not nearly often enough anymore though, indeed only once a year or so these days, but I do still get out occasionally. Never had anything massive, 17lb common was my best effort. I preferred well conditioned fish to big fish though, so not a drama.

It's been years since I went fishing.

Never had my own kit and I don't even know how to set a rod and line up, however, my best childhood friend was a mad fisherman. We used to go fishing quite a lot, I always ended up catching carp :)

Got a decent sized one once on a 6ft pole rod, my mate was so jealous he demanded I give him that spot and the rod so he could get one. So I moved and caught another, he didn't though :p

Haven't been for a long time now but have hundreds if not thousands of quids worth of fishing gear. True fishermen catch their carp on the power pole though :) 16lb elastic means anything under 5lb swings to hand. I have caught three 14lb carp on the pole and you know very well that those fish are on the hook. I want to go fishing now.

'True fisherman' :nono: True fisherman use 3 rods, bite alarms, and sit back and relax ;) (I joke!)

I can't think of anything better! I've just started getting into photography but for me fishing will always be my true passion! Had I not spent so much on fishing in the last 5 years I would be in a lot better position photography wise... Hence why I'm trying to sell the fishing stuff I don't need (most of the stuff I own!) to start paying for new lenses etc etc.

37lb 2oz ;)

Yep, am an all rounder but love carping. Just don't get out as much as I'd like these days.

PB in England is 24lbs, 32lbs in France.

For me it's the complete relaxation that I love the most. Very happy chilling with a brew, sausage roll and watching the float bob around :0)
