Any Bronica Zenza 645 owners out there, whats it like?

That's easy for you to say, but I had to whittle 14 dinosaurs, bury them, wait 65 million years, dig them up and resharpen them before I could even sketch a single Yorkshire man.

Thinking of the Yorkshire reminisce............you all have it too easy now, in the old days all I had was a Pentax S3 for 20 years and managed just with 35mm, 55mm and 135 lenses.

You are a newb from one year ago and have been a fantastic contributor to the forum and I think I can remember when you acquired your first film camera and that reflected in your posts.

Please take this in the spirit that it is written,use your current kit,which is top drawer and when you start achieving notoriety for those shots,then think about what else. I have been there and done that and it did not help me.

Should you wish to buy a set up that you fancy then just buy it, post the results and let the praise flow,then declare your new kit.

All the best for the very difficult decision we all have to make. I am looking forward to meeting you at some time in the future on a film meet.

I agree that it can be really fun to play with different cameras and lenses, but I think it's far more important that we are all actively purchasing film to help keep the market for film alive. The more you spend on gear, the less that you have to spend on film.

Consequently, film is where the bulk of my money is going nowadays, especially since Fuji Pro 160NS is on the brink of discontinuation. Plus, I hear that Fuji will be significantly raising their prices in April, so I'm buying what I can now.

Feel exactly that way, I had a big list of film for friends and relatives to purchase over christmas as prezzies, most were made up of the thought of it being an exciting present.

Mind you the amount I shoot at the moment it needs to be restocked so I think I might look at that 160N myself

Thanks but Im not looking for notoriety for me its fun with a twist that I get to meet exciting people who are often my age (43 and a bit) and see life in a much more relaxed vein, the fact that film meets descend into curry and beer meets pretty much sums it up.

nope I am going to probably move the Fuji on soon (ish) its not pushing my buttons and lifes to short and probably look at the Mamiya 645 a bit closely in month or two and then shoot lots of film with that....and my Nikon FM2 and FE2 and and and

Im just loading the spare RB67 Film back I just purchased with Ilford Pan F 50 which a fellow on here recommend and Im off to shoot some contrasty ducks

I meant notoriety in photographic terms not personally. The Ilford Pan-F 50 is a wonderful film, I look forward to seeing your results.
