Yes
I have donloaded the trial version and had a little play with it.

not sure if I am doing things wrong, but to be honest I cant see a big difference.

Does any body use it and do you see much of an improvement?

I wasn't impressed either tbh. I couldn't see any difference from Bicubic resizing in Paint Shop Pro.

Is this like a genuine fractal program where you put in an algorithm?

You could try the Sierpinski triangle fractal

its a photoshop plugin, it is supposed to be able to increase the size of an image by 1000% without losing picture quality

All I'd say is try it and see what you think. It's just a different way of adding pixels not data.

Is it worth the £80 or so pounds?

isn't that the point though - you're not supposed to be able to see the joins:thinking:

when i say i cant see much of a difference,

I meant, I took a photo and cropped it then "blew it up" with genuine fractals

then i took the original photo and cropped and resized it with CS2 to be the same size (and surprisingly I got the same crop )

then with both of the increased shots on screen, i magnifyed them both to the same size (66% was the biggest I coudl fit on sceen i think) then compared the two.

perhaps it woudl have been better to print them both and compare print output?

True. It does a good job of that, however some people think it magically adds details into the image that isn't there.

I can see the point of using software like this if you are producing a large display poster, but a lot of RIP software used on these printers tend to do a good job anyway.

Some stock sites (such as Alamy) need to to upsize your images before submitting them...
