Any bikers out there?

Forgot to mention, just a discussion thread, i'm not after specific information or questions ;)

Riding for 30+ years, currently on a highly-modified 05 Sportster.

I have Bandit 600 in the garage,no mot or tax on it though

ZZR1100, GPZ900, CB500..................alas all gone now though as I gave up after a young lady decided I'd look much better sliding down the road with the ZZR1100 on top of me and, just in case you're wondering, the ZZR came off the worst - it got written off but I'm still here (just).

I've got an #03 'Blade in the garage - been riding it a bit recently too. MOT runs out on Tuesday though, I'd better get that sorted next weekend...

Ex biker but I do have a 1964 Honda 50 in my garage, been a while since it was last out:D

My aim in life is to work my way up to a gsxr1000, or a 600. Probably start way down the bottom with a ped and a CBT...

peds. orrible things.you can get a proper 125 at 17.with a gearchange n a clutch lever.
and all the advice from fellow bikers you can muster.
and PLEASE get some decent boots, gloves and a lid.

Would it still be a CBT test for a proper bike?

Got a Bandit 1200 and bandit 750, will be selling the 750 later this year and keeping just the 1200.

magnum. DONT buy new. youll only keep it a couple of years, then sell it. losing loads.old cg 125 hondas are a bit boring. but reliable and hold onto their prices.
if you have a look around the motorcycle forums, you'll get loads of advice.
idealy you want a fourstroke.more reliable generaly, and usualy cheaper to run.
maybe something llike this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/suzuki-gs-125...1|65:12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ebayphotohosting

I passed my test in 1980, and currently ride a Yamaha Vmax which I have had for 5 years. I am also a motorcycle instructor, so if anyone is in the Newcastle area and wants to learn, have a look at www.ride-right.co.uk

What would you recommend for a 125 first bike?

I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a 125, use the money for lessons and pass your test, then you can buy a proper bike. 125's are very expensive and for the same money you could get a decent 600.

Another ex biker, several japanese bikes before discovering Ducati's

Preacher - I am loving your bike mate !

Mine, well my old road bike, it then got tracked, copied and pasted from another thread...

Just looking for something else and found a couple of my old Ducati 749, seeing too many accidents on the road took me to the track - its spiritual home :)
