Im basically bald on top but ok round the sides. There is hair on top but very sparse. Anyway for years Ive just had a grade 2 cut, all over, every month or so, quick and easy.
Just wondering if there were any other haircut styles instead of grade 2 (or 3 or 4) I could try? Without shaving the lot off for the completely bald look.
Anyone any ideas?

I realise I'll still be an ugly fecker but maybe fancy a change!

Sorry but we need pics to decide!:D

The classic comb over has to be the way to go
:D (I'm with you BTW #2 all over quick and easy :))

Ah well then my dear I suggest something like this would be perfect... just water your head every few days and...

You obviously haven't been on a TP meet have you? :D I have spent so many hours on these meets in the company of balding shaven headed dudes waving cameras around :woot: :exit:

And then we get onto the ladies

I've been balding since my early 20s, and now have a somewhat 'wide parting'. Since I don't want to look like I'm pretending to be 'well ard' I normally have a No. 3 every few weeks and shave the gap in the middle. Seems a better compromise. I did once grow a ponytail when I was in my late 30s for that Francis Rossi look, but then realised how dumb a bald bloke with a ponytail looked, even playing guitar. ;)

I used to shave my head, every day, but got quite annoyed with the practice! Now just shave (no.1) on a Sunday evening and that's me grand for the week.

Your only options are to wear a wig, do a "Rooney", or just be proud and glad you've no hair to mess with each morning :)

Get it shaved... my Ex was totally bald for years hated it when he grew his hair even a little.

Slightly more seriously than my previous post, I would agree with this, as a woman looking on, as it were - just shave it to a No 3 or 2 and be proud, there is no stigma attached to a shiny pate any more, even men with a full head are happy to do without, so just do it (y)

Never mind great minds thinking alike, that is definitely a case of Fools Seldom Differ :D
Its just where ever I "go" Matt has to "follow" :p

not bald on my head :naughty:
Where's the puke smiley gone?

I could go off you you know. Uncanny resemblance though.

I'll stick with me no 2 then. Sorted.

I used to have a number 2. Then one day my wife forgot to put the guard on the clippers..........

Technically a number 0 most weeks.

You'll be asking about hats next.

I slipped over on some snake juice and this was where I landed....health and safety wants to get on that

Several years ago, I decided that long hair (half way down my back when plaited) wasn't really that compatible with motorcycling - unless plaited, it knotted! So, I went from very long to a #2 buzz cut. Still got a ponytail somewhere! Now I get a #1 every few weeks - far easier; never needs combing.
Of course, the decision to go for the #2 was in no way influenced by the receding hairline...
Oddly, about 35 years ago, I was threatened with suspension from school unless I could put a parting in my (#1 buzzed) hair. I shaved a parting in and was allowed to stay. At the time I was a fairly competitive solo kayaker and competed in a race here in Exeter. Mum and Dad came to support me but walked right past me having failed to recognize me with almost shaven head!

As for hats, I have a fleece beanie and a dark green baseball cap in my wife's (convertible) car - the beanie for warmth and the baseball cap for sunshield! For general wear, I have a couple of Tilley hats - one is very worn so they replaced it, I now have the old one as a disreputable hat, patched with a TP sew on patch.

Exactly what happened to me. I only noticed just as she made the first pass across the top of my head, definitely beyond the point of no return. I just keep it that way now, makes life much easier.

hahah same here marc i have got used to a number 1 cut dont think i could go back to having lots of hair on my head

I'm another number two but have often thought about trying a zero - cooling under the bike helmet in summer.

err is it easy enough without a guard? I quite like my ears and would prefer to keep them as is :nailbiting::jawdrop:

Meh! they only get in the way of the clippers :D

I'm a Skinhead not a slaphead. the end!!

Any excuse for male selective deafness:p

I think you'll find that male selective deafness is caused by the hearing sensors that are tuned to the normal voice droning in our ears being worn out by the constant yapping. ;) :p

2 hairs, Homer style :D

I wish I could be bothered with a weekly/fortnightly ritual, but I can't. The amount of times I've woken up after a vivid dream of the miracle hair growth cure :(

Started going bald in my mid 20's :( Bought some clippers and had No2 for years, now its every other day with the philishave. Nice n shiny all round

alpecin !!!!!! 1 million bottles sold in Germany last year!!!!!

I have to wet shave my face every day so its just as easy to keep going all over. Adds about 1 minute tops to the shave and quicker and easier than clippers. Permanent chrome dome, perfect. Use Gillette fusion blades, definitely the quickest and smoothest shave known to man.
