Can anyone reccomend an alternative to Paypal please - I have had enough of them and need another way to accept money that is user friendly :bang:

I need to be able to use whatever one I choose for things like ebay and for a website (although the site does not exactly have a huge turnover). I know there are various ones out there but wanted to know from a users point of view rather than the gubbins thats on the net.

Thanks

Thanks, have you actually used any of them? I know there are a lot out there, I don't know anyone who has used them though

I'll be looking at the alternatives soon too. I'm currently planning to write my own gallery script so I can have a bit more control over things and to make it easier to keep it updated and one feature it needs to have is online ordering. At the moment google checkout seems like a good candidate but some other options would be nice

I use Google Checkout. Very nice and easy to use (and if you use Adwords, it is free!)

Easy to use is good especially with me!! I use adwords a lot so the free bit is another plus as well

You get 10x your Adwords bill per month in free transactions:

If you spend £100 per month using Adwords, you can take £1,000 through Checkout for FREE!

Well its more like pay adwords £200 and take £2.00 for me, but I like the theory of it  At least if the site takes off a bit more I will save a bit on charges so it could be worth looking into a bit more. At least if its easy I should be able to handle it which always helps.

Yeah, don't go overboard on Adwords. The Google Checkout transaction fee is lower than PayPauper's, but the Adwords deal is a rip-off!

NatWest Fastpay has been and gone: it was cheaper than PayPal but faded by the wayside. Moneybookers is useful, particularly for international transactions, but PayPal has the stranglehold, unless you're desparate for an alternative. We know this can't be healthy.

Used Adwords for years, and made a lot of money using it...............

Well adwords is needed for the site I have, so anything free on the back of them is a bonus!

But paying 10 per cent for adwords combined with payment processing instead of 5.4 per cent max (PayPal, for £10-worth) for the transaction alone? I'd prefer Google's low transaction fee and a better niche.

Well, I would be using Adwords anyway, so to get Checkout for free is an added bonus! :D

Ebay now make it mandatory for sellers to accept Paypal, they claim it's a security feature, but really it's just a scam to make more $$$$
