Ants nest

Just found a hedgehog in our back garden!

We normally see quite a few in the garden, but not so many this year. There seems to be a big increase in the number killed on the road between the village and the local town though. It's a pity, and I don't know why.

I have found the best method is boiling water, but i remember another thread about ants and you have to be sure you get the queen, you do not kill the queen they will keep comeing back, kill the queen along with the rest problem sorted.

Every house I have owned here in Guernsey has had an ant problem, I think Guernsey is just one big ants nest at times, they are everywhere, Just went to move the daughters netball net with a water filled base, yep you guessed it, an ants nest underneith.

Now, if there were a colonly of say, 100,000 hedgehogs living under the patio, he might have a point. :naughty:

Quite, and I suspect that by this stage you'd be living under the patio and they'd be in the house :)
