I like it, the muted colours really suit the location nicely.
Cracking shot of the Lynx Ant, (Super Lynx HMA8 with the under nose radar dome and sensor turret above). The angle makes the undercarriage look a little odd, but it also gives it a sense of menace.
The arrows are always a wonderful sight to see, and you've caught them nicely.
Week 29 - Waddington Air Show 2010 - 3
Third in the series from Wadington Airshow 2010.
great shot, where did you take it from?
That is an atmospheric shot of the F16 Ant, great catch and love the vapour across the wing... looks like it's going vertical...
Another good one of the arrows too

A very cold feel in the sea scape Ant... I like it. As for the time... oh my that's early..
That arch looks amazing... but... I'm not sure what could be done about it, but the edges seem to blur into the surrounding buildings...
Hi Ant, I'm sorry I haven't dropped in on your thread for ages - I've been having trouble keeping my own threads up to date - and failing!- but I'm slowly getting back on track.
I've enjoyed a lovely trip round the UK this morning - thanks to your images. I like the Glencoe set - I've only visited there once and remember it as very dark and sombre. Your b&w shots create the atmosphere very well.
The Chinese Arch in Liverpool caught my eye, too. I worked in Liverpool many years agao and don't remember ever seeing this. It makes a nice change from the Liver buildings and the Funnel, although I agree with John that the edges blend into the buildings a little. What was it like in colour?
The Red Arrows are always spectacular and you've caught some good theatrical shots - excellent.
My favourite is the Beaumaris sunrise - for its beautiful simplicity and lovely colours.
Jean
Not come across your 52 before, if I had im sure I would have commented you have some nice work in your shots.
Ones that stood out for me anyway were 12, 18, 20, 21, 26, 28, 30, 31 & 32
In your later shots you really do seem to have found a subject that works well for you![]()
Week 36 - Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool
Back to my set from Liverpool just a few weeks ago. Finally found some more time to process a few more shots. There really is no shortage of things to shoot in and around Liverpool, if you havent been before you really should, its a good day out!
Just been watching a programme on the tv with this in it I thought I'd take a look. Looks good. I think it would look quite striking in B&W.
I really love that picture, it feels like you could just walk into the photograph!
Stuart
All good Ant, of the three sporty ones, I think the cyclist is more engaging, but I think that's down to being able to see the eye's. What an odd looking hammer for Croquet...
As for the Cathedral, what an amazing looking building. A lovely shot of it.
I agree with John, the cyclist shots is good and the cathedral is super cool![]()
Ant, it looks good to me, but I'm not very good at this stuff myself.... I'm not sure the vignette really helps on this shot though.
Been meaning to try something like this myself, although I don't forsee the possibiltiy anytime soon. I'm guessing you were focussed on the dash display, but... it seems a bit soft... not sure if that's because of the movement of the car, or brightness of the display on the longer exposure.
I really like the colours and bounce in the lights though... nice. As for the Stig... were you in a 10 mph zone...
I'll look forward to the image with the locked down tripod
That's an impressive building. Nice bit of blagwork to get onto the terrace, and that's worked nicely... good sense of scale with the people too.
Interesting framing of the old with the new Ant, I really like it.
