I've been using a Jessops own brand "Town and Country" bag for quite while and like it very much except for one thing...

The handles are fixed to the lid of the bag and if you pick the bag up with out the lid being fastened, it has a habit of trying to tip all the contents out...

I've not had such a disaster yet, but I can see it happening, especially if the bag is moved by somebody who does know....

So does anybody know of a largish hold-all style bag where the handles wrap underneath the base and are not fixed to the lid?

I have a mini -trecker rucksack already but in a lot of instances prefer a hold-all style bag...

Thanks in advance,

Pete

I am after a small rucksack if you're getting rid of yours for a bigger one (?) Is it the Lowepro Mini or Micro Trekker btw (?)
Gr8 advice on all things "camera baggy" over at www.cambags.com
Paul ;)

Paul,

I am not getting rid of the mini trecker as although I don't use it a lot, I find it handy if i want to take my cameras while out on my bike...

Thanks for the tip about the web site, I'll take a look now!

Regards,

Pete

No probs & my Wanted ad elsewhere has found me an Orion Trekker for 20 beans so I'm as pleased as Punch ("if only I was as good looking!") ... Paul ;)

Looks like it is 'standard' for that type of bag to have the handle on the top. I can't see anyone who sells it without.

ppp,

The only ones I have seen advertised which do not have the handle on top as such are some of the Billingham ones and I suspect they cost the same as the debt of a small African country!

Some of the others bands have a zip through the top flap (press top?) but I think i would like to see one first rather than buying it blind...

Regards,

Pete
