Okay. Finally getting up the marbles to ask what you guys think. The site isn't completely finished as we are adding an information page about what we offer and whatnot. This is a site that Bokeh (here on TP) and myself are running. It isn't a full time job or anything, just a part-time money hobby if you will. We already have bookings set up for the spring and summer so we are really excited. Wish us luck. :) And let us know what you think. Thanks guys.

Here goes.... www.fosterphotography.org

Any constructive criticism is appreciated... and expected. lol

Hi,
Not sure about the colour scheme of the main page image! doesnt fit with the background for me!
You have no details about who you are, just pictures and prices. If I was interested in booking a session I would want to know who you were first.

Other than that, does what it should.
Good luck.

Yep, needs a little 'about us' page for customer interest. I'd also have a look at the colour scheme, it does look a little harsh and some of the text [gallery 1, Logo] etc looks a little pixelated.

Looks good though and scales well to different resolutions :) Good luck with the venture to you both

I agree with the above comments about needing to say something about yourselves and the image on the first home page.

Your trying to sell yourselves on that initial shot and I think you are selling yourselves short, as you have some very good shots in your gallery's.

With regards the gallery's it may help to give them a title i.e Children/Portraits/weddings/bands etc... I felt like I was going into the unknown and each gallery was primarily of children, which isn't a bad thing I just couldn't work out why it was different to the previous gallery.

Hope this helps and please remember this is just my opinion and others may think its fine the way it is.

Cheers Lee :)

Hmm.. Never really thought about the homepage not fitting in. We sort of liked the way it popped with the background being so plain. Will definitely have another look at it though. :) And as stated in my original post, we are going to have an information page as soon as I can get off my lazy butt and write the text for it. I never was good with words. lol. Thanks for comment. :)

Yeah, the pixelated jpg's will hopefully be corrected with the new site along with the information page. Thanks for comments.

I agree with the galleries needing titles 100%. I'm just so anal a person that I like every gallery to have the exact same number of photos in it ( I know.. I'm :cuckoo: ) And at this point in our venture we just don't have enough wedding shots or band shots to come close to the number of portrait work. Maybe one day. hehe

Thanks again all. Good advice.
