I have recently been watching some programmes on various times and eras of modern history.....it got me thinking......if I was to have grown up in another era and environment which would I have preferred......I think 1920s New York looks a blast....if course I would have to be rubbing shoulders with the high society.....:D

When and where would you have liked to lived?

It's difficult to think of many places and times that were both happy and safe and had an optimistic view of what the future held.

Maybe London in the 1960s - as opposed to the London I remember from the 1970s - or maybe even more so in the Victorian Naughty Nineties [provided you were rich] before there was the fear of nuclear amageddon or similarly Paris in La Belle Epoque or what about San Francisco in the mid 1960s ... provided you weren't on the list to be drafted!?

Repeating the jokelet, at least you could get a drink [or more!] in all of my choices! ;)

Ditto, mainly based on my newfound interest in the Boardwalk Empire TV series.

18th Century with loads of cash a la D'Arcy..... Servants, property in the country and London, Tobacco farms in Virginia......

Late '40s, early '50s UK but knowing what I do now! Not so much to take advantage of knowing sports results, more to be able to pick up '20s and '30s Bentleys and similar for somewhere between b****r and f*** all (hoping the filter sorts the swearies, if not, will do a quick edit!) as well as later racing cars that had been retired from competition.
