According to snopes the real story has been embellished a bit as the attacker was not injured.

I thought it was alitle too hard to beleive but it gave me a giggle and a sense that sweet justice had been served.

Reminds me of an incident when I was working on the trains.
A local piece of **** tough lad/chav/bully went on to a station, got mouthy to the young lad working on the platform and eventually pulled a knife out on the platform staff lad.

The thug put the knife away, and went and sat down.
Plod was called, and when they arrived he jump onto the track and ran.
He didn't get far though as the juice rail got hold of him and gave him a nice bolt, resulting in him having to have his leg amputated!!
