I need to set up a very simple and basic website that allows me to sell directly such as I believe SmugMug and Zenfolio do, but as so often I know nothing about such things..

I need to keep it simple as I am not very good at anything technical. I am not a pro but will be selling a very prints so it has to be cheap to run and I need to be able to password protect areas as most of my pictures are of kids at school and the headmaster wants to be sure that parents are happy about pictures being online.

I know there are free trials available but can any of you who have first hand knowledge make any suggestions - my main priority is keeping it very simple to set up. I don't need anything complicated or fancy nor do want to spend hours struggling to get it all working at this stage....

Many thanks !

PS I did see some of the PT4U webinar about SmugMug last night - most of it went way over my head but it looked good and got me thinking...

I know nothing about website design and set up and I had a Zenfolio site up and running in a couple of hours, with a front page slideshow, a sample gallery and a password protected gallery, an about page and a contact page.

I've spent a lot of time since tweaking, redesigning, moving stuff about, and I'm still working on it - but the initial set up was literally a couple of hours.

Its easy to set up new albums, password protect, add products and price lists, watermark images after upload, it has an integrated blog, you can add a paypal shopping cart etc.

My site has paid for itself in occasional sales from events etc.

I would recommend the free trial as it really gives you a chance to play with it and see what you think.

(If you do want to go for Zenfolio I can give you a discount code if you want).
