But maybe not the sort of thread you're expecting.

Common sense from plain speaking Yorkshire folk. Don't want to be photographed? Then b****r off! :D

"Around the showground there will be a number of professional photographers and videographers broadcasting the show live via the big screen and recording for later use on various websites, include Mirfield Show, Youtube and Facebook. Please be aware that there will also be an even larger number of visitors taking personal photographs and videos around the showground. If you object to this, then we suggest you keep away from Mirfield Show as we can not guarantee that you will not feature in any of these."

Common sense indeed, how refreshing :)

I've seen similar signs on the way into gigs. Specifically, to do with the performance being filmed so as part of the crowd you're liable to ending up in the final broadcast/released material. Of course it was pinned up next to the turnstile as you enter the venue, so it's a little late to object, as you've already paid for your ticket and travelled to the venue, and queued up to get in.
Not that many people are bothered, I suspect.

Except for the last bit.

" If you find a video or photograph after the show in any of the places mentioned – contact us at info@mirfieldshow.com and we will attempt to remove it."

Why include that? They've been warned. If they appear in a video or photo, tough s***!

"Attempt". ;)

"Attempt". ;)

I still would not have put that in. People will see that and expect something to be removed.

It started off great. Photos and Video will be taken and if you don't like it don't bother coming. Oh, but if you do come and then complain we'll cave in and bow down to your demands.

Maybe just to appease anyone who can't read (whilst under the influence ;) ) or maybe so they can also try to make a few £'s from the photographer? (cynical, me? :D )

That final paragraph renders the whole statement on photo/videography contradictory and redundant, they may as well have omitted the whole thing.
