Another Photographer accused of being a paedophile.

I did wonder if it was Richard who was kicked off a couple off weeks ago come back as a different profile !
No chance we have our ways of stopping these at the outset ;)

In the City of York it is still legal to murder a Scotsman within our ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow. This has never been revoked.
I always thought it was a Welshman, but Meh, either way :D

I was wondering why I was getting funny looks when I was in York...

I think if you read Blackstone's or Butterworth's you will find it in there.

It is still Common Law though, there is no Act of Parliament saying murder is an offence. There is for Infanticide for example (Section 1 Infanticide Act 1938) but not for murder.

Homicide Act 1957 does.

I thought it was a Welshman too, but you had to use a bow and arrow, and you had to be within the city walls of Chester, not York...:D

I've heard both, but whether it's an urban myth....

BTW Doncaster apparently still belongs to Scotland according to some reliable sources, and some of us are ready to invoke that if Scotland leave the Union

A friend of mine went to St Andrews University back in the 70s. There was a story doing the rounds about a student invoking an old rule allowing him to take a pint of beer into an exam, and getting nailed by the university for failing to carry his sword between lectures a few days later...which might have had other implications!

Not sure the law requiring every man to do their archery practice every week/day has ever been repealed. Finding an active butts could be difficult these days.

I do so hope that's true :D
