Another paper/vinyl question

Okay, I'm aware of the pros and cons of both and would quite like to use paper as often as possible as I'd like to do a lot of unlit background stuff and it looks so much better seamless unlit.

The question is, has anyone tried using a sheet of vinyl or perspex for white seamless on the floor over paper? I figured it'd lengthen the shelf life perhaps?
 
It'd probably work fine, and would stop the scuff marks... however, it'd be reflective, so it's up to you whether you like that effect or not tbh.

For really nice grey seamless, you'd see the back edge of the perspex, and the reflection would also look a bit strange.
 
I may not have explained properly, Dave. For grey seamless I'll use the paper as it is, but I wanted a slightly reflective floor for white seamless, so it sounds like it's worth a bash.
 
I've done this and it works pretty well. The colour of the paper comes through more and more as you look down on the acrylic.

The only issue is (as always) the join. I tend to use a combination of DOF and PP to get rid of it.
 
Thanks, Ben. DOF was going to be my method too as I quite look shooting fairly shallow with WB.
