Looks like Jessops is not long for this world.

Although they can be a bit inconsistent I have had good service from the guys at the Greenford and Victoria branches and the newly opened Ealing shop.

It's another sad day for the High St IMHO

I rarely venture out of the f&c section it's like the matrix out there, it scares me

I'm not that suprised that jessops has struggled. photography is still quite a specialist hobby, and most people into the hobby (out of everyone I know) would rather purchase online (myslef included) due to cheaper prices.

paying rent, bills etc all adds up, and results in higher prices for consumers.

their film development prices are IMO high, and not that great.

Still, sad for a lot of people who may lose their jobs though!
