Another newbie...

Hi guys, just a quick line to introduce myself. As the name suggests, I'm a newbie photographer from Liverpool. Ive been looking around the site for a few weeks. I came across it while I was researching stuff for college work and thought it was about time I joined!

I've had my Nikon D60 for about 18 months, started out as a 'auto-point-click' kinda person but I've eventually got to grips with the modes. I'm currently doing a GCSE in photography to give me a better understanding of the camera and photography in general. The course was bought for me as a birthday present in July last year.

The projects I've been set make me explore every aspect of the camera and make me use it properly - no more auto shoots for me!

My dad planted the seed of interest for me when it came to photography, and he himself is a keep photographer although he shoots on Canon. His interest is mainly wedding photography as this is where he'd like to branch out to. I like people, animals and general portrait photography but I also like landscape photography.

Not quite as short as I thought but hey ho! Thanks

If your enjoying the GCSE photography you should seriously think about going on to do an HND in it, im just coming up to finish the course and I've loved every minute of it. If there's anything you'd like to know feel free to drop me a line either on here or via email.

Hey Natalie,

I just handed in my final piece fro my GCSE, so I am all done, the tutor has pushed me towards doing the Btec so I am going to move onto that next year. Lie you I really enjoyed it, was just a pity it was on a Monday night lol.

Where did you do your HND? was it with the NRC? Just wondering.
