Hi All,

Have been reading through this forum on and off for a while and thought i would register now i am getting near the point of buyer a decent camera and trying to learn how to use it.

I have very little experince and have a canon powershot A560 compact and a fuji bridge s2000hd.
I like the canon, simple and produces decent enough pics, but not a fan of the fuji due to the delay from pressing the button to taking the shot, so will possibly sell it as it's hardly used.

I am looking to get an slr camera but something that has a good alround auto setting so i can get started and then learn how to use it's settings as i progress.
The problem is i appreciate good pictures particularly close up's, but i am just never able to take any good ones close up or otherwise? I could take fifty shots and be lucky to get 1 good one. If i am honest i don't have a clue about settings etc, but hope to learn a little here.

Thanks.

Welcome Trent,

I wouldn't worry too much about having an "auto" mode. All Dslr's have this mode but you very quickly start to sworn over to the more creative options.
