Another monitor question (or two...)

Hi Guys, I'm planning to replace my very old Samsung SyncMaster 171s (demoting it to a working-from-home second screen) and have narrowed it down to 2:

Dell Ultrasharp U2312M 23 inch IPS Widescreen LED Monitor

or the LG IPS235V-BN IPS 23 Inch LED Wide Screen Monitor

First question - is the Dell worth the extra £40 (I'm mainly using LR3, PSE9, Silver Efex Pro 2 and internet browsing)?

Second question, is it worth spending a bit more (supposing I went for the Dell) to get the Dell Ultrasharp U2412M - i.e. will I notice the 1 inch difference between the two?

From the three get the LG, which is also the cheapest (same panel). They are not perfect, not 8bit, but much better than your old samsung.

Thanks - have ordered the LG now! Didn't realise quite how big the 23 inch was until I had a look in John Lewis today think it'll definitely be big enough for my needs and definitely an improvement on my wee Samsung.
